RCMP seeks suspect after attempted sexual assault in park

The RCMP reports an attempted sexual assault on a woman on Sunday evening (June 9) at Mission Creek Regional Park in Kelowna.

The victim told police that she was walking alone between Leckie Road and Durnin Road at around 8:45 p.m. when the unknown man grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her.

The victim was able to free himself, fled and then called the police.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 50-60 years old, with short gray hair, wearing a gray or white long-sleeved jacket with red coloring in the shoulder area.
