The wet weather is the result of a sea breeze and a cold front coming from the north. The front is weak and will take its time to descend towards the south until mid-week. As it moves south, showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur again Tuesday and Wednesday.

A cold front is taking time to move through Southeast Texas early this week. This will bring chances of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Tropical outlook:

The Atlantic is calm, but there is an area of rich tropical moisture that will continue to move toward the Gulf of Mexico late next week. Southeast Texas may see an uptick in showers and storms through June 19 as a large area of low pressure develops.

Next week we will watch for more chances of showers and storms as tropical moisture moves westward from the Gulf of Mexico.
10-day forecast:

The temperature range for the next 10 days is in the low to mid 90s, with mornings in the mid to upper 70s. Rain chances early in the week are far from zero, with the best chance for scattered and strong storms overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

There is a chance of rain early in the week with the possibility of tropical humidity producing showers and storms next week.
