Man who died after ‘incident’ in Glasgow house named

The name of a man who died following an “incident” at a house in Glasgow has been revealed.

We reported that police were called to a suspected disturbance on Brock Road in Pollok at around 1am on Tuesday 4 June.

Police received a report of the incident and that an injured man was found on a property in the area.

A 49-year-old man was subsequently taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man has now been identified as Michael Lincoln from Glasgow.

Following his death, officials also announced that a 53-year-old man arrested yesterday has since been charged in connection with Michael’s death.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, June 5.

A report will be submitted to the public prosecutor.

Pictures show that the police had cordoned off the street while forensics officers conducted their investigations into the alleged incident.

They were also observed entering and leaving a property on the street.

In addition, a forensic tent was set up in the garden of a property in the area. Criminal investigation officers were photographed on site.

Meanwhile, the police had also closed off part of Hartstone Road near the crime scene.

The area – which is near a park – had been cordoned off in connection with the incident on Brock Road.

A Police Scottish spokesman said: “A 53-year-old man arrested yesterday has been charged in connection with the death of a man on Brock Road in Glasgow.”

“On Tuesday, June 5, 2024, at approximately 1 a.m., police were called to a report of a disturbance and an injured 49-year-old man at a home in the area.

“He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

“The man has been identified as Michael Lincoln from Glasgow.

“The 53-year-old man is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday 5 June 2024.

“A report will be submitted to the public prosecutor’s office.”
