Atlanta Watershed says repairs to water main break will cause water interruptions – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — While repairs are still underway to fix broken water pipes in Atlanta, the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management said there will be water interruptions in several locations.

Shortly after midnight Monday, Atlanta Watershed said repairs to West Peachtree Street and 11th Street would result in water interruptions.

Friday evening, police said they responded to the area of ​​11th Street NE and West Peachtree Street NE in reference to a broken water main.

City officials are targeting the brakes aggressively and starting with the main brakes at the intersection of West Peachtree St. and 11th Street.

Repairs will begin Monday at 1 a.m.

Atlanta Watershed said that as part of the repairs, crews will shut off 36- and 30-inch water lines, resulting in a “temporary interruption of water service.”

Streets that will be affected by the repairs include 11th Street to W. Peachtree Street to Peachtree Street and W. Peachtree Street from 10th Street to 12th Street.
