Police seize fentanyl, other drugs and cash after arresting 8 people in major drug raid in Burien

Eight people were jailed last week when Burien police made two arrests on major drug-related warrants.

Seven of the eight people were taken to the King County Jail, according to Burien police. Detectives said members of a drug trafficking organization were trying to sell drugs to people at the homeless encampment near City Hall.

After more than 100 hours of surveillance, police made the arrests on Thursday and seized the following:

  • 22,788 Fentanyl M-30 pills
  • 19 pounds of fentanyl powder
  • 1.36 pounds of cocaine
  • 263.6 grams of methamphetamine
  • 168 grams of heroin
  • 156.3 grams of crack cocaine
  • $104,000 cash/medication proceeds
  • 1 hydraulic kilo press

Police said two of the arrested suspects were wanted for previous drug offenses in Oregon, and one of them had an arrest warrant out in Seattle for a previous drug trafficking arrest. At the initial court hearing, the judge released one suspect and held the rest on bail ranging from $200,000 to $300,000, police added.
