Buffalo man admits killing 2, injuring another in shooting in Tonawanda

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man admitted to killing two people and injuring a third during a shooting in the town of Tonawanda.

Jameer M. Woods, 20, aka “Jaia” pleaded guilty Thursday in Erie County Court to two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, one count of charge of first degree assault and one count. of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

According to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, Woods fatally shot two people and seriously injured another on August 28, 2022. They claim the weapons used in the shooting were illegal.

The shooting happened at an apartment in the 700 block of Parker Boulevard in the town of Tonawanda.

Antoyn Williams, 51, of Buffalo, and Kristina Perez, 26, of Hinsdale, both died at the scene. The third victim, a 56-year-old man, was taken to ECMC and treated for his injuries.

Wood faces up to 75 years to life in prison when he is sentenced July 31. He remains held without bail.
