New York man arrested for road rage after victim was driven into ditch, police say

A road rage incident in Ellenburg ended with a man driving off the road and into a ditch. David Denan, of Cadyville, and Dustin Brunet, of Ellenburg, knew each other, authorities said, and Brunet is believed to have threatened Denan in the past. Last week, Denan noticed Brunet as he dropped off his children at Northern Adirondack Central Elementary School and made a U-turn to leave the school. Brunet noticed him and followed, eventually ramming Denan’s car and forcing him off the road, where his vehicle ended up in a ditch. Brunet was tracked down Wednesday and arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in June to answer the charges.

An incident of road rage in Ellenburg resulted in a man driving off the road and into a ditch.

According to authorities, David Denan of Cadyville and Dustin Brunet of Ellenburg knew each other, and Brunet allegedly threatened Denan in the past.

Last week, while dropping off his children at Northern Adirondack Central Elementary School, Denan noticed Brunet and made a U-turn to leave the school.

Brunet noticed him and pursued him. He eventually rammed Denan’s car, causing him to veer off the road and land in a ditch.

Brunet was located on Wednesday and arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in June to answer the charges.
