Baby Maia’s mother has finally come forward. Harper is organizing a meeting with her and Rose for tomorrow. However, Maia’s mother is completely unaware that the baby has disappeared.

Guilty and frightened, Dana runs to the police station and files a report, but the damage has already been done. Angry and extremely stressed, Rose blames Dana for allowing Tane to take her baby away from her.

Rose has no time to waste and rushes to Tane’s house, hoping to catch him there or at least find clues as to where he might have gone. Mackenzie and Mali are both at home and are stunned by what they hear.

Mac tells Rose that she can search Tane’s room, but Mali, shocked, stops her. He stands in the doorway to protect his friend and tells her that Tane has done nothing wrong and that she needs a search warrant if she wants to go in there. Rose is speechless – she can’t believe that her own friend is standing in the way of justice.

Back at the police station, Maia’s mother finally shows up. Rose and Harper listen to her tell her story. Her name is Sonia and she heard what Rose said at the media event about knowing where you belong. She also tells them that Maia’s name is actually Poppy and that she is excited to see her daughter again.

Rose thinks quickly and comes up with a plan to buy time – they have to go through routine ID checks, DNA tests, etc. before they can be reunited. The plan works beautifully when Sonia readily agrees to do whatever it takes to see her baby again. But how long can they keep this up?

When Levi and Mackenzie meet again, Mac apologizes for introducing herself to Imogen. She explains that she only wanted to get to know the woman Levi went home to and that her insecurities got the better of her. Levi assures her that there is no competition.
