Kannada actor Chetan Chandra was seriously injured after a mob allegedly attacked him while he was out with his family on Sunday. The actor shared a video on Instagram explaining how the incident took place in Bengaluru.

With a bleeding nose, the actor said in his Instagram live video, “On the eve of Mother’s Day, I went to a temple with my mother. When I got home, a drunk person chased my car and tried to damage it. When he was being interrogated, 20 people followed him and started attacking me on the street.”

Chetan Chandra further said that he was seriously injured in the mob attack. “It was a terrible experience as the mob attacked me mercilessly. My car was completely damaged and the police gave me the first air treatment. “I don’t know who these people are and most of them were apparently drunk,” he further added.

The actor filed a police complaint and a case was reportedly registered at Kaggalipura police station. It was said to be a case of road rage when the accused tried to overtake the actor’s car and he incited his mob to attack the actor. Police arrested a suspect and were searching for the people involved in the attack.

Chetan, who rose to fame after appearing in the popular TV series Satyam Shivam Sundaram, has also acted in films like Premism, PUC and Melody Drama. Many of his followers on social media condemned the attack and raised concerns about road safety in Bengaluru.
