Mammoth forward Zed Williams spotted at Buffalo Bills rookie camp

DENVER — Sometimes when the world zigzags, it’s good to zig. That’s exactly what Mammoth forward Zed Williams did when he accepted an invitation to the National Football League’s (NFL) Buffalo Bills’ training camp this spring.

A physical attacker during the National Lacrosse League (NLL) indoor campaign, an elite attacker for the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) field projects and last summer, a long-pole defender for the nation Haudenosaunee…the dominant talent has proven he can excel at different levels and variations of the game.

And while he has every intention of continuing to play the sport he loves, lacrosse, the Empire State resident couldn’t pass up the opportunity to transcend his talents in one of the leagues. most powerful and popular in the world.

As rookie camp kicked off earlier this week, Buffalo’s local media showed the team and Williams some love in covering the hometown prospect’s participation in offseason preparation activities.

The coolest thing is that this doesn’t appear to be a PR stunt, but rather a real avenue for the 6-4, 235-pounder. talent to represent his hometown team. Seen doing defensive drills in camp, the Colorado contributor would likely fit into some sort of linebacker or edge roller, meaning potentially practicing against offensive line personnel of some 330 pounds. and above.

But if you’ve ever seen Williams score a 4-on-1 goal (which we’ve seen several times now), then you’ll understand why the big-bodied, yet shifty athlete has attracted some intrigue from an NFL franchise who has hit the reset button heavily on a majority of their defensive staff after relying on some veterans in recent seasons.

Even though he’s likely fighting for a deeper role, there’s always a chance the talent sticks around for a bit if he can continue to compete. If the opportunity doesn’t present itself, he should return to his role as a net filler for the PLL’s Whipsnakes this summer.
