Grand Junction man charged with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. – An undercover investigation by special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Homeland Security Investigations into the distribution of child sexual abuse material has led to the arrest of a Grand Junction man.

Officers began investigating on April 15 after discovering that thousands of files containing child sexual abuse material had been distributed through file-sharing software from a residence on Hardeman Street in Grand Junction. On May 10, Charles Vinyard was arrested and several devices were seized from the home after ICAC agents, HSI, the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at that address.

Charles David Vinyard (DOB June 25, 1954) is charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and ten counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. Vinyard is housed in the Hardeman County Jail.
