Two suspects in connection with a burglary at a Strawberry home were arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 101, the sheriff’s office reported.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Adam Schermerhorn said a Milland Drive resident left his vehicle unlocked, allowing the suspects to use his garage door opener to enter his garage early Sunday morning and steal more than $2,000 worth of items.

Investigators used surveillance footage to identify the suspects’ vehicle. Officers arrested them on Highway 101 northbound near the intersection with Highway 131 around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Schermerhorn said officers clearly saw the stolen property after stopping the vehicle.

Diego Lopez Perez, 32, of San Rafael was booked into the county jail on suspicion of burglary. Bail was set at $50,000.

Luis Alberto Cautle Rodriguez, 30, of San Rafael was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and conspiracy. His bail was set at $10,000.
