Supreme products sold at Kroger recalled due to possible listeria contamination – KIRO 7 News Seattle

The Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of products marketed under the Supreme Produce brand and sold in Kroger stores in five states, including Ohio.

Due to possible contamination with listeria, the following products have been recalled:

  • Pico/Guac Combo, UPC 850054894434, Best before date: 07/11/2024 to 07/26/2024
  • Butternut Squash Cubes 12 oz, UPC 850053685552, Best before date: 07/10/2024 to 07/25/2024
  • Chopped Cilantro 2 oz, UPC 850053685446, Best before date: 07/09/2024 to 07/24/2024
  • Chopped Cilantro with White Onions 5 oz, UPC 850053685422, Best Before: 07/09/2024 to 07/24/2024
  • Diced Jalapeno 7 oz, UPC 850053685361, Best before date: 07/09/2024 to 07/24/2024
  • Diced Pepper, Tri-Blend, 7 oz, UPC 850053685347, Best Before: 07/09/2024 to 07/24/2024

There have been no reports of illnesses associated with the recalled products.

If you have the items, they may have already passed their expiration date, the FDA said, but you should still throw them away instead of eating them.

For more information, call Kroger at 800-576-4377 Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to midnight ET and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET.

Listeria is a bacteria that can cause listeriosis. Symptoms can include fever, muscle aches and gastrointestinal problems that last from several days to several weeks, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Every year, about 1,600 people become infected with the virus and 260 die.

Pregnant women, newborns, people over 65 and people with weakened immune systems can become ill.
