Air quality warning for all of Northeast Ohio until Sunday

All persons in the affected counties are asked to limit their time outdoors as much as possible to minimize exposure to potentially unsafe air conditions.

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, Ohio – According to the National Weather Service, several counties in northeast Ohio are currently under an air quality advisory through Sunday, July 28.

The warning applies to the following districts:

  • Ashtabula
  • Cuyahoga
  • Geauga
  • lake
  • Lorraine
  • Medina
  • Portage
  • summit

All persons in the affected counties are asked to limit their time outdoors as much as possible to minimize exposure to potentially unsafe air conditions.

Other tips during an air quality warning include:

  • Do not idle: Turn off the engine
  • Fill up your gas tank after sunset
  • Wait to mow the lawn
