My one big thing for the Bills is just, uh, we wrote them off too early and, you know, you Fitz, you talked about this on one of our previous podcasts and it really opened my mind to maybe really underestimating what the Buffalo Bills can be this season.

You look back on last season and you know, they had this weird stretch the first two-thirds of the year where they were losing to teams like the Broncos and it looked like they weren’t going to make the playoffs.

They were really unlucky to get into that situation and then they played up to their talent the rest of the regular season, as the AFC East obviously made the playoffs and, like you said, we thought they were going to get through that stage.

They host the Chiefs at home and they are going to beat them.

The Chiefs are down a bit and they lose this game.

I don’t like to overreact to isolated events that might happen.

Tyler Bass scores this field goal.

If you tie this game, you could win it.

We’re having a completely different conversation about the Buffalo Bills.

Did it hurt the Toon Diggs on the loose?

Absolutely.

Do I have lots and lots of questions about their casting around Josh Allen?

No doubt about it.

But we kind of forget how good that Bills team was last year.

They were third and even OA, they played at that level until the Chiefs game, for the last part of this season where they made their playoff push.

I think I’ve been talking about the Jets all offseason as well.

RIGHT.

I may have underestimated them a little, too.

We all think the Bills are no longer contenders.

I don’t know, man, they’re always a really good team with a great quarterback at any given time.

Maybe they will succeed in breaking through.

I just want to say, the big question for me is: Are we not cancelling bills too early?

I know you didn’t and I’m beginning to understand your thinking.

Yeah.

And I think there are two separate conversations.

The Bills and the Cowboys, I would say the same thing.

There are two separate conversations.

Super Bowl success is very different.

I think the Bills are well positioned to succeed every year right now.

Like I said, with Kansas City, Josh Allen puts them in that zone where they’re going to be successful.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the Bills battling for home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Does this mean they’ll find a way through Kansas City?

No, just like when we talk about the NFC in a few days, I think the Cowboys are going to be in contention for the No. 1 overall seed, home-field advantage in the NFC.

Does this mean I think D will have a successful playoff run?

I don’t know, that’s the problem, we look at success in the bubble, like we managed to win the Super Bowl.

Well, there’s a whole season leading up to that.

I think the Bills are going to be very good this season.

I think you’re right about that.
