Accident on I-81 causes significant delays in Lebanon County

(WHTM) – An accident in Schuylkill County is causing traffic congestion on northbound I-81 and significant delays in Lebanon County.

PA 511 cameras show traffic backed up for miles through Lebanon County and into Pine Grove, Schuylkill County. The backup appears to start near exit 89 on I-81 northbound.

Pennsylvania State Police in Jonestown and first responders are on the scene, and at least one helicopter has been called in to assist, according to WBRE.

Traffic is diverted to Route 72.
