The criminal charges include rape and sexual abuse of children and minors.

Although Redd is a retired deputy, the sheriff’s office said it and the district attorney are committed to enforcing the law, “particularly protecting the most vulnerable in society against all offenders, regardless of their profession or social status.”

Due to the nature of this case, Redd’s standing in the community, and the lengthy nature of the conduct he is accused of, the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney encourage any potential victims of Redd to contact the San Juan County District Attorney’s Victim Advocate via email ([email protected]) or the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office at 435-587-2237 to be connected to available resources for assistance.

“Even crime victims who are unable or uninterested in pressing charges against Mr. Redd may be eligible for assistance through the State of Utah Office for Crime Victims,” the sheriff’s office said.
