The suspect is responsible for hundreds of home burglaries throughout New York City and the Five Towns, many of them in Jewish communities in the Five Towns, Far Rockaway, and Brooklyn. Most of these burglaries occurred on Friday nights while families were sleeping. The suspect stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry, including some victims’ life savings, causing great distress and sleepless nights to many of the affected families.

Shomrim’s announcement emphasized their continued commitment to community safety. “We hope this provides some closure to the many families who have been through so much over the past six months,” the statement said. “We hope you and your children can sleep better at night. And if we recover any items stolen from your homes, we can assure you that everything will be returned to you as quickly as possible.”

The Shomrim team is working extensively with the NYPD, NCPD and the District Attorney’s Office to keep this career criminal off the streets for a long time. They thanked everyone involved in the investigation, including detectives from the NYPD’s 101st Precinct, NCPD’s 4th Precinct and several other precincts throughout New York City. Special thanks went to Lt. Ryan Oshea of the 101st Precinct Special Operations, the 101 Public Safety team, the 101 NCO teams, the NYPD Warrant Squad, the Queens District Attorney’s Office and other Shomrim members throughout New York.

Shomrim also expressed deep gratitude to the Shomrim’s wives and families who supported their efforts. “We could not have done this without everyone’s dedication, and we thank each and every one of you for the care, attention and support you have given to this case,” they said.

Shomrim thanked the community for their trust and support and reiterated their commitment to safety and security. “We promised you we would put an end to this pattern and we want you to know that we have kept our promise. We are here for you. We wish everyone a wonderful rest of the day and a peaceful Shabbat, knowing that we at RNSP Shomrim have your back always.”
