Couple arrested in incident with drunk naked teenager

A man and a woman were arrested following an incident involving a drunken naked teenager in Lady Lake.

According to a police report from the Lady Lake Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Caroline Avenue early Tuesday morning for a report of two people attempting to break into a home. The couple had originally been invited to enter the home but were kicked out due to a fight. After being kicked out, they attempted to force their way back into the home.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a naked young woman who had been placed in the back seat of a patrol car. They also found 20-year-old Eryk Joshua of Belleview. He told police he was “trying to get his silver chain back from the naked, intoxicated young woman.” Joshua tried to give police a false name and later admitted he did this because he is already on probation in Marion County for identity theft.

Annabel Ashley, 19, came out of the house and was “highly intoxicated.” She tried to speak to the woman who was being detained in the patrol car. Police ordered her to move away from the patrol car, but Ashley “became loud and emotional.” She “started pulling on the door handle to get the detainee out of the car.”

Ashley was arrested for attempted escape and obstruction of justice. She was taken to the Lake County Jail and released on $6,000 bail.

Joshua was arrested for fraud and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail on $2,000 bail.
