Man charged in Bibb County shooting that left 4 children and his wife dead

BIBB COUNTY – A man has been charged with murder after five members of his family were killed in a shooting in West Blocton Thursday night, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Investigators said a 2-year-old, two 6-year-olds, a 9-year-old and 24-year-old Kelsey Kendrick were killed in the shooting, which occurred around 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Greentree Drive.

Brandon Kendrick, 32, who was married to Kelsey and fathered two of the children killed, was arrested and charged with five counts of capital murder.

Kendrick was remanded to the Bibb County Jail without bail.

The investigations are still ongoing.
