Editorial Independence Policy

The Atlanta Voice maintains full editorial control over content to protect journalistic and business interests. We maintain a clear separation between news coverage decisions and revenue sources. Acceptance of financial support does not imply endorsement of donors or their products, services or viewpoints. While we accept contributions, grants and sponsorships to support our work, our editorial decisions remain independent and unaffected by donor support. We may accept paid sponsored content from advertisers for specific stories, but we retain editorial control over that coverage. The Atlanta Voice reserves the right to review, change or edit editorial content and does not permit unauthorized distribution of such material. When appropriate, we disclose our donors and stakeholders in an editor’s note or in the report.
