Owner of local computer repair shop arrested after child pornography investigation

HARRISON COUNTY, OHIO (WTRF) – Harrison County Sheriff Joe Myers tells us a local business owner has been arrested.

Nicabar Phillips owns a computer repair business in Cambridge, Ohio, and lives in the Freeport area.


Phillips was arrested on Friday following an investigation into his alleged possession of child pornography and other sexual offenses involving minors.

Police obtained a search warrant and searched Phillips’ home in Harrison County, taking a computer and “other digital evidence.”

Phillips was charged with “promoting obscene insults upon minors,” a second-degree felony.

Sheriff Myers would like to thank the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol Investigative Services and Computer Crimes Unit for their assistance in the investigation.
