Shooting of 12-year-old boy in Pinellas Park under investigation

Pinellas Park Police responded to a shooting involving a minor victim on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m. The shooting occurred in the 11600 block of 59th Street North.

Upon arrival, officers found a 12-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The investigation is still in its early stages, but authorities have confirmed that the incident was not random and poses no threat to the public. Investigators are actively gathering information to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.

Sniffer dog searches for suspects
