According to Clayton County Jail records, Roberts had a total of 21 charges as of Sunday.

According to Clayton County court records, a bail forfeiture hearing for Roberts is scheduled for Oct. 29 in Clayton County Superior Court.

In a CCSO Nixle Alert sent Sunday morning, the CCSO’s Elite BlackHawk Traffic Unit was on patrol Saturday on I-75 at the Clayton County border when they observed a Hyundai Kona driving recklessly at a high rate of speed.

Officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver failed to yield the right of way and sped away, triggering a pursuit, CCSO said.

The pursuit continued north on I-75 and the suspect exited onto I-20 eastbound. The driver exited onto Flat Shoals Road SE and struck the guardrail.

After the airbags deployed in the crash, the suspect fled on foot, CCSO said.

Officers were able to catch the suspect and used a Taser to handcuff him.

After being placed in the back of the patrol car, the suspect turned around and kicked out the rear window of the patrol car, CCSO said.

After an officer ran the suspect’s name through the Georgia Crime Information Center and the National Crime Information Center, he was the subject of multiple arrest warrants and was No. 7 on Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen’s most wanted list.

The suspect was also in possession of approximately 100 oxycodone pills, a half-pound of marijuana and a firearm, according to the CCSO’s Nixle alert.
