EPD: Man arrested for raping woman outside Evansville bar on July 4 | News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) – Evansville police are still investigating after a woman was raped near a popular Evansville bar on July 4.

According to EPD, the victim was found pantsless near a trailer next to Marina Pointe.

According to witnesses, strangers observed 21-year-old Douglas Thomas coming out from behind the trailer and claimed he had just had sex with the victim, who was behind the trailer.

According to police, the victim was treated at a local hospital. According to authorities, the victim said she told Thomas “no” several times and told him to stop.

Thomas is accused of rape and is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail without bail.
