Loop 1604 will be partially closed again this weekend on the northwest side but will reopen on Mother’s Day

SAN ANTONIO – There’s another round of major construction closures in the far northwest this weekend, but motorists will get some relief on Mother’s Day.

As part of the Loop 1604 North expansion project, TxDOT will have multiple closures beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, May 10 through 7 a.m. Sunday, May 12, weather permitting. These closures are:

  • Loop 1604 eastbound main lanes, collector-distributor road and frontage road at the I-10 interchange.

  • I-10 westbound collector interchange at the Loop 1604 Interchange.

  • I-10 eastbound main lanes and collector junction at Loop 1604 interchange.

  • All four clovers at the Loop 1604 and I-10 interchange.

However, the westbound main lanes of Loop 1604 and westbound I-10 will remain open through the weekend, but drivers will be unable to connect to the Cloverleafs.

These are the minimum closures required for the expected work. All closures can be changed and modified if necessary. During this time, local law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections. Drivers are asked to plan for delays in advance. Below you will find a map and detour information.
