Dallas Wings to host Atlanta Dream after Natasha Howard’s dominant 36-point performance

ARLINGTON, TX — The Dallas Wings will face the Atlanta Dream for the second time this season Friday night at College Park Center. The last time these two teams met was May 21, when Atlanta won 83-78 over the Wings.

Both teams have had their share of struggles. Dallas recently fell to 4-16 on the season after losing to the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday, 104-96. However, the Wings have seen improved performances from players like Natasha Howard, who led the team with 36 points, 11 rebounds and one assist. Arike Ogunbowale added 26 points and Odyssey Sims chipped in with 13 points.

Dallas currently sits sixth in the Western Conference and has the worst record in the league, going 2-6 at home. Atlanta, on the other hand, is 4-4 away from home and sits sixth overall in the league.

Atlanta enters tonight’s game with a 7-11 record and has also struggled for consistency, losing its last game to the Chicago Sky, 85-77, on Tuesday. Like Dallas, Atlanta is without key players, including Rhyne Howard, who is out with an ankle injury. That’s a major concern for the Dream, as Howard is the team’s second-leading scorer behind Alisha Gray.

To be successful, Atlanta will need to rely on other players to pick up the slack in Howard’s absence. Meanwhile, Dallas must focus on improving its defense to get back in the win column. The two teams will face off tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the College Park Center.
