PHOTOS: Basketball game between Ocoee Police and Parks and Recreation

On June 27, members of the Ocoee Police Department did not attempt to lock up criminals at the Jim Beech Recreation Center. Instead, Ocoee Police attempted to restrain the Ocoee Parks and Recreation basketball team on the hardwood during a game between the two city departments.

In addition to the action on the field, those in attendance had a special guest cheering on the teams and taking photos with fans and players: Swish, the mascot of the Orlando Magic’s G-League affiliate team, the Osceola Magic.

The two departments also gave away free Orlando Magic-themed basketballs – courtesy of Orlando Magic and GROW Healthy Kids – to winners of the halftime contests.
