Motorcycle accident on the US12 | Community News

On July 1, 2024 at approximately 4:18 p.m., the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office and Clearwater County EMS and Rescue 1 responded to a report of a motorcycle accident at mile marker 46 on U.S. Highway 12.

The driver, identified as Michael B. Looney, 59, of Stites, was operating a 2005 Yamaha XVZ13 when it left the roadway and entered the ditch in the oncoming lane.

Looney was taken by ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital with serious injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
