Houston, Texas news: 2 dead, 2 teens injured in crash in southeast Houston

Houston police said a white car was turning left onto northbound Galveston Road when a silver car traveling south on Galveston Road hit it.

HOUSTON — Two people are dead and two teenagers were injured after a crash in southeast Houston Wednesday evening.

It happened around 8:20 p.m. on Galveston Road, between Brookglen Drive and Timber Creek Drive.

Houston police said a white car was turning left onto northbound Galveston Road when a silver car traveling south on Galveston Road hit it.

Both occupants of the white vehicle were killed in the accident. One of them would be between 50 and 60 years old. We don’t know each other’s ages.

Two teenagers, believed to be between the ages of 17 and 19, in the silver vehicle were taken to hospital. We do not yet know their conditions.

The crash propelled both cars out of the intersection and off the road. HPD said the two cars ended up about 100 feet from the intersection.

An investigation is underway to determine if speed was a factor in the crash.
