Motorcyclist dies in accident on I-5 in Tacoma

Due to a fatal motorcycle accident on northbound Interstate 5 near South 84th Street in Tacoma, the two left lanes had to be closed on Saturday evening.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the accident between a motorcycle and two cars occurred around 8:05 p.m.

During the investigation, traffic was disrupted for hours.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) were on scene to assist.

All lanes reopened from 10pm

The cause of the accident and the condition of the occupants of the other two vehicles are unknown.
