Minor kidnapped: Minor kidnapped and raped in state capital | Lucknow News

Lucknow: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped in Banthara area, police said. While the accused is absconding, two persons have been detained for questioning. The girl’s mother filed a complaint in this connection and said her husband, a security guard, was on duty near their house on Friday night when the girl went out to call him but did not return. After waiting for a long time and not being able to reach her on her mobile phone, the family went in search of her but could not find her. The victim’s mother stated that a youth living in their village often called her daughter on her mobile phone and tried to make inappropriate conversations. The family visited the youth’s house but his family members refused to give out any information about the girl. At around 11:15 pm, the police and some villagers entered the accused’s house where they found the girl locked in a room, her hands and feet tied with clothes. The accused, who was also in the same room, managed to escape from the scene. The girl told police that the accused and his accomplice covered her mouth while she was leaving her house and forcibly took her inside his house. They snatched her mobile phone and threw it in a pond. Later, the accused locked her in a room of his house and sexually abused her. South Zone DCP Shashank Singh said that an FIR has been registered against the accused under charges 363 (abduction), 366 (abduction for the purpose of marriage), 376 AB (rape of a girl below 12 years of age) and 342 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC.
