Police investigate shooting in Dayton district

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A shooting incident was investigated in Dayton Monday evening.

According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, the call came in at 6:42 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 4900 block of Genesee Avenue.


Shortly after the police arrived, part of the road was closed for investigations.

Shortly before 10 p.m., police forces left the scene. Police left the scene without giving an update, but 2 NEWS received the emergency call that was made.

The caller says she is a local resident who witnessed the shooting while talking on the phone with her daughter. In that call, she says someone drove by and “shot up” her neighbor’s house.
