Crown Point man shot dead Friday night

Charles Branham of Crown Point bled to death from multiple gunshot wounds, the press release said. He was pronounced dead around midnight Saturday in an apartment in the 4400 block of Broadway in Gary.

Gary police did not respond Saturday to a request for information about the fatal shooting.

The Lake County District Attorney’s Office Homicide Unit is investigating. Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call the unit at 219-755-3855.
