Four men arrested in connection with shooting

Four men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with the intent to incite fear of violence.

At around 7.20pm (BST) on Wednesday, police were called to Hudson Street in Cheltenham following reports of a shooting.

A gray Toyota pulled over to the side of the road and its occupants got out before firing a gun five times and leaving the scene, police said.

No injuries were reported and no property damage occurred in the incident.

Shortly afterwards, a man wearing a balaclava was observed driving the vehicle in the wrong direction down Townsend Street.

The men, aged 18, 21, 24 and 26, all from the city, are in custody, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and patrols will take place in the area over the weekend.

Officials have asked anyone with information or footage to contact them.
