Investigation begins after fatal shooting of man on 33rd Avenue in Tuscaloosa

Tuscaloosa police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting Thursday night.

Officers from the Tuscaloosa Police Department and the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of 33rd Avenue, Captain Marty Sellers said.

The man killed was identified as 34-year-old Christopher Shobe.

The investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing and no further information has been provided.
