UNIBEN graduate raped to death

A recent graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), The woman, identified as Adekolore Idowu Glory, was allegedly killed by unidentified men who raped her to death.

The 22-year-old UNIBEN graduate was raped and beaten to death in the Iyowa district of Benin City on June 13, New Telegraph has learned.

An X-user described as Glory’s brother stated that unknown guys attacked his sister as she walked home from school.

He stated that Glory, who graduated in April 2023, was in the process of applying for admission when she died unexpectedly and that her body was left near her home.

The X-user also called on the police to investigate his sister’s murder, writing: “Justice for my younger sister Adekolore Idowu Glory who was raped and murdered on her way home from school in Iyowa Local Government Area, Benin, Edo State (UNIBEN).”

“Help us get justice for my little sister who just graduated from the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in April 2024 and was still busy with her projects and admission certificate when she was raped to death on Thursday, June 13, 2024 on her way back from school. She was just 22 years old.

“Her lifeless body was deposited at the UBTH morgue on June 15, 2024 with the assistance of the Nigeria Police Force, Ekiadolor Division. She was beaten, raped and killed. Please Nigerians, come to my aid. The help I need now is only for my innocent sister. My mother can no longer hold on.”

State Police Spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident and said investigations were underway to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

He further said that the woman’s body was found naked and that blood was oozing from her private parts.
