Partial closures remain due to deadly derecho as downtown Houston slowly reopens

HOUSTON – As downtown Houston rebuilds after last month’s derecho, the city has released an updated list of streets that have reopened and are still closed.

The Downtown Houston Management District announced that most roads and sidewalks have reopened, with only partial closures on two streets.

Dallas Street is now open, with one lane closed between Louisiana and Milam. Travis Street is also open, with one lane closed between Franklin and Commerce. Repairs continue as the city continues to recover.
