Two adults injured in shooting on Mechanicsville Turnpike, Richmond police investigate

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Richmond police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Friday night on the Mechanicsville Turnpike.

On Friday, June 14, at 10:21 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike.

According to police, officers arrived at the scene but did not find a victim. Shortly afterward, officers were notified that two victims had been taken to VCU Medical Center.

Both adult victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives were on site to investigate the incident.
