Man tries to ‘hug and kiss’ woman during sexual assault at Tesco

In one incident this month, a man attempted to “hug and kiss” a woman at Tesco and made sexual comments.

The unknown offender approached a woman in her twenties in the Tesco on Ocotal Way in Swindon at around 7.15pm on 1 May.

The police are now asking for information about a man who can be seen on the surveillance camera in connection with the attack.

The man in the photo is wearing a blue jacket, light shorts, blue Adidas sneakers, a light cap and glasses.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in identifying this man in connection with a sexual assault in Swindon.

“On May 1st at approximately 7.15pm, at the Tesco in Ocotal Way, an unknown offender approached the victim, a woman in her twenties, and attempted to hug and kiss her, including making sexual comments.

“We hope to be able to speak to the person pictured in connection with the incident.

“If you recognise the person, please contact us on 101 and quote reference number 54240050382.”
