East Charlotte bar fined for ‘inappropriate sexual conduct’

The ABC Commission has fined an East Charlotte bar and restaurant $2,500 after social media posts featured what officials called “inappropriate sexual conduct.”

According to the violation report, officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department conducted a code inspection at the Queen Sheba Bar and Restaurant last September.

According to the report, an officer questioned the bar’s organizer about a pillow fight.

According to CMPD, videos of the event showed sexual acts, but the organizer said she was unaware of this and could not control how people danced.

Channel 9 reporter Joe Bruno reached out to Queen Sheba about the incident but received no response.

If the bar fails to pay the $2,500 fine, it will lose its ABC permits for 25 days beginning July 5.
