I-10 westbound in downtown Phoenix closed due to police investigation

PHOENIX – A section of westbound Interstate 10 is closed near downtown Phoenix early Monday morning, apparently due to a police investigation.

ABC15 crews were on scene before 4 a.m., where officers were investigating a vehicle stopped in the middle of the highway near 7th Avenue.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said only that the investigation was into a collision, but could not provide any further details about injuries or a possible cause.

All lanes are currently closed and it is not possible to predict when they will be reopened. Check the current traffic situation here.
