Police: Moving car hit by gunfire in downtown Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (WOOD) – Police are investigating after a vehicle was struck by gunfire in downtown Grand Rapids early Friday morning.

According to Grand Rapids police, the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Commerce Avenue and Wealthy Street.


Investigators believe no one was injured in the shooting, but police said a moving vehicle was hit by gunfire.

As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made and police had not released any information about the suspects.

It is not known what led to the shooting.
