ABC-7 First Alert – Extreme heat continues through Friday

The brutally hot weather continues. This afternoon is the hottest of the year so far with temperatures between 40 and 42 degrees. I expect more of the same tomorrow with highs around 41 degrees. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Most won’t see any rain, but maybe gusty winds in and around some storms. There could also be some dust and sand swirling around the storms.

Temperatures will cool down a bit over the weekend, with maximum temperatures reaching just over 37 degrees.
