Is this the smallest signature amp ever? The Dead Daisies get their own Blackstar Fly 3

Blackstar Amplification has teamed up with rock supergroup The Dead Daisies for a special “Rockstar Red” edition of their Fly 3 compact amplifier.

Designed directly in collaboration with the band, the 3-watt mini amp runs on batteries or DC power and features Bluetooth connectivity. It features a soft-touch chassis, some very cool black skull-themed control knobs, and The Dead Daisies’ iconic logo on the grill.

“Whether on tour, backstage or writing at home, the Fly 3 has become a warm-up for The Dead Daisies,” says Blackstar. “After David (Lowy), Doug (Aldrich) and Michael (Devin) decided to use Blackstar amps for their live rigs, it was a natural next step to create a Fly 3 Bluetooth version for The Dead Daisies. This stunning, battery-operated, Bluetooth-powered 3-watt mini amp is perfect for jamming anywhere or listening to The Dead Daisies on the go.”

Fully compatible with the standard Fly 103 expansion case, gamers can create a 6W stereo setup if needed, perfect for full-range music playback. The main features of this Fly 3 are practically the same as the standard version.

There are two channels (clean and overdrive) as well as controls for gain, volume, EQ and a digital ‘tape’ delay. Blackstar’s patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) is also integrated and there is an MP3 cable connection as well as an emulated line output for ‘silent’ practice or recording.

In other Blackstar news, the brand has also just updated its ID:CORE V4 amplifier range with a new and compact 10W Bluetooth-equipped model. The announcement comes after the company revamped its ID:CORE range in January with a number of feature improvements.

The Dead Daisies Edition of Blackstar’s Fly 3 is now available for $109.99.
