Four people arrested on Tiananmen Square anniversary in Hong Kong: police

Hong Kong police said four people were arrested on Tuesday, the 35th anniversary of Beijing’s violent crackdown on Tiananmen Square.

“At 11:30 p.m. (15:30 GMT) … police arrested two men and two women suspected of committing crimes,” a statement released early Wednesday said. One woman is suspected of committing “offences related to seditious intent” – a crime under Hong Kong’s controversial national security law.
