Conover man arrested for drug and firearm possession violations and probation violations

Justin Corey Michaels, 37, of Conover, was arrested by authorities in Anson County on charges from Catawba County. He is charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine and violation of probation. Michaels is also charged with possession of a vehicle, dwelling or place for keeping controlled substances, possession of a firearm by a felon, sale and delivery of Schedule VI controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public official and traffic violations.

Michaels is on probation for a December 2023 conviction in Catawba County for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was booked into the Catawba County Detention Center this morning (June 3) on $125,000 bail. Court dates in Superior Court are scheduled for today and June 27.
