Lincoln Police coordinate with funeral directors as part of investigation

LINCOLN – As Lincoln Police continue their criminal investigation into Lamson’s Funeral Home, Detective Stewart Jacobs met with the Maine Board of Funeral Services on May 30 to discuss the reporting process regarding ongoing concerns.

The department reportedly receives multiple complaints daily and has provided guidance to those affected by the problems at Lamson’s Funeral Home.

For inquiries regarding upcoming funerals, spring burials, and active funeral contracts at the Lincoln location, please contact Bowers Funeral Home at 207-532-5333.

Individuals with funeral trusts from the Millinocket location should contact the financial institution listed on their trust directly for more information.

For concerns specifically related to the misuse of funeral funds by Lamson’s Funeral Home in Lincoln or East Millinocket, the public is asked to contact any officer of the East Millinocket Police Department at 207-746-3555.

In addition, the Maine Board of Funeral Services accepts complaints about conduct on its website.

Since the investigation is still ongoing, authorities say no further details will be released at this time.
