Teenager hit and killed by car in Newport Beach – NBC Los Angeles

A 14-year-old girl was killed Saturday night when she was hit by a car in Newport Beach.

The accident was reported sometime in the evening near the intersection of Balboa and Palm Street. According to police, the driver who struck the girl stopped and cooperated.

Balboa Street was closed from Washington Street to Bay Avenue for the investigation. Details of the accident were not immediately clear.

The identity of the deceased was not disclosed.
