Man arrested after suspected sexual assault of 14-year-old girl

SAN ANTONIO – A 28-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at his apartment complex

On May 2 around 9:30 p.m., SAPD said the suspect, identified as Wrenn Thomas Penick, was working at a kiosk at a shopping center in the 6300 block of northwest Loop 410 when he encountered the 14-year-old victim.

Penick reportedly offered the victim a ride, which she allegedly accepted. While driving, Penick and the victim stopped at a local movie theater before eventually ending up at his apartment complex, located in the 5600 block of Northwest Loop 410.

According to SAPD, Penick sexually assaulted the victim in the apartment complex. After the incident, the victim called her mother, who was able to locate her in the complex, where the police report was filed.

On Friday around 4:30 p.m., Penick was arrested for the alleged sexual assault.

SAPD believes there may be more victims and encourages them to come forward and call the Special Victims Unit at 210-207-2313.
